How we compile meal-kit costs
We compile one honest row per meal service from each service’s own pricing page, cross-referenced to independent 2026 reviews — and we are precise about what the price includes and excludes. This page explains how, and what we deliberately do not do.
Who’s behind this site
Meal Kit Cost is an independent publisher operated by VentureCorp, Inc. We are not a meal-kit company or a reseller, and we do not accept payment to change a price or a service’s position. The site answers one question accurately: what does each meal-delivery service cost, and how do the formats compare?
Where our data comes from
| Data | Source | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| Prices, plans & dietary options | Each service’s own pricing / plans page (cited per service via source_url) | Every per-service page and the comparisons |
| Cross-reference | Independent 2026 meal-kit review aggregators (the per-row xref) | A sanity check on each published band |
Price convention. Prices are the service’s standard recurring list rate — per serving for cook-it kits, per meal for ready/prepared — and exclude shipping (shown separately) and exclude promotional first-box pricing. Where a service publishes no comparable per-serving figure (e.g. a membership grocer), we show a typed placeholder and never invent a number. Several services gate exact numbers behind a ZIP / build-a-box flow; those are the published standard bands, flagged for confirmation at checkout.
How we calculate
Each service is entered from its own pricing page: the standard recurring price band, shipping, meals-per-week, servings, cuisines and dietary tags, with a cross-reference to an independent 2026 review. Kits price per serving and ready meals per meal — we keep that convention so a comparison is like-for-like. We do not blend in promotional first-box pricing. This is the highest-maintenance dataset in the portfolio, so we re-pull and re-verify it on a monthly cadence.
What we deliberately leave out. We do not present first-box promo pricing as the real cost, we do not invent a per-serving figure for services that don’t publish one, and we rank no single “best” service — the right pick depends on your household, budget and dietary needs.
Independence & how we make money
Some links on this site may be affiliate links to meal-delivery services; if you act on one we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Partners never see or influence the prices or comparisons we publish, and no placement is for sale.
Keeping it current
Meal-kit pricing changes frequently, so we re-pull each service’s pricing page and re-verify the bands on a monthly cadence. Each price carries its verification date; current verification: June 2026 (dataset 2026-06-11). Always confirm the live price at checkout.
